Robert J. Mateuszczyk

Robert J. Mateuszczyk, 69, of Berkeley Twp., NJ died at home on Tuesday August 16, 2011. Born in Jersey City, he lived in Carteret for 35 years before moving to the Holiday City Heights section of Berkeley Twp 10 years ago. Robert was a veteran of the US Air Force. He was employed as a mail carrier by the Jersey City Post Office for 34 years retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Carteret Knights of Columbus Council #1280.

Robert is survived by his wife of 46 years, Josephine Tullio Mateuszczyk; His daughter Chris Ann and Greg Carta of Bayville; two sons, Robert and Maryanne of Hopelawn, NJ and Michael and Lorraine of Spring Hill, FL; a brother William and Loraine of Woodbridge, NJ. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; Tiffany, Kissondra, Michael, Tonya and Reagan.

Visiting hours are Thursday August 18 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Toms River on Friday August 19th at 10:30 AM. Cremation will be private.
