Robert J. Phillips

Robert Phillips age 70 of Bayville, passed away Tuesday May 3rd. Born and raised in Bayonne NJ. Bob is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Christine Kulnis Phillips, his three daughters and their spouses, Deidre Phillips and Connie White of San Mateo, CA, Debra and Mark Kremen of Bradley Beach, NJ and Diane and George Schlemmer of Barnegat, NJ, grandchildren Ashley, Lyndsey, Ian, Ethan and Kayley, and great granddaughter, Madison, his brother and sister in law, Richard and Sheree Phillips of FL. He leaves behind many loving friends and extended family. He was US Navy veteran, a parishioner of St. Barnabas Church, a fourth degree Knight at the St. Josephs Knights of Columbus 4969, and a member of Teamster Union Local 295-851. He loved boating, fishing, classic cars, and his motorcycles. He loved golf and was a member of the Bayville Senior Golf Association and Ocean County Senior Golf. He was a genuinely kind, humble and funny man who was devoted to his family and friends. His passing will be a tremendous loss to all. Visiting will be held Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered 11 am Monday at St. Barnabas R. C. Church, Bayville. Burial will follow at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
