Robert F. Scriffiano age 83 of Toms River died Tuesday January 12th at home. He worked for American Bakeries, Newark for over 30 years before retiring. Mr. Scriffiano was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Army. Born in Newark he lived in Union for 25 years before moving to Toms River 26 years ago. He was predeceased by his wife of 60 years Mary on February 15, 2015. Surviving is his daughter Deborah Wasky and her husband Michael, his son Robert Scriffiano and his wife Gail, 6 grandchildren Nicole Wasky, Lauren Hoffman, Ashlee Buitrago, Alexander, Robert and Joseph Scriffiano, 4 great grandchildren Nathan and Ella Hoffman, Michael Buitrago and Ethan Scriffiano. Visiting will be Thursday from 4-8 pm with a funeral service at 7:30 pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Rd. Toms River. A private burial will take place at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
