Rose Ann Dwyer, 85, of Toms River, NJ passed away peacefully on Friday September 12, 2025 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. Family was the most important thing to her, and she was happiest when she was hosting or attending a big family gathering. As was fitting, she was surrounded by family and friends until the very end. She was a lifelong resident of Bayonne, NJ before retiring to Toms River in 2006. She had worked for Bayonne Block Co. and Nacirema for many years before her retirement. She was a former communicant of St. Andrew’s RC Church in Bayonne. She was an active member of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River.
Rose Ann enjoyed playing Mahjong and meeting with her friends at the clubhouse each week to play the game. She was an active ‘Wordler’ and enjoyed a friendly daily competition with her daughter to see who could solve the word first. She enjoyed annual summer vacations with her family at the Jersey Shore and the occasional trips to Atlantic City to try her luck on the slot machines.
Rose Ann was predeceased by her husband of 50 years Donald Dwyer; her parents Daniel and Mary Dugan; her sisters Sheila Christie, Mary LoPrest, Margaret Givens, Kathleen Sheppard and her brothers Charles, Dennis, Daniel, John, Cormick, Patrick and Terrence Dugan.
