Santino Calabrese, 84, of Holiday City passed away Sunday January 29th, 2012 at Van Dyke Hospice and Palliative Care in Toms River. Born in Hoboken, NJ he resided in Jersey City and Carteret prior to moving to Toms River in 1993. He was employed for 39 years by Con Rail in Linden, NJ as a Freight Conductor. He was predeceased by his son Santino Calabrese, Jr.; brothers John and Frank Calabrese and 4 grandchildren. Surviving are his loving wife of 55 years Mary (nee Glavocich); daughter Brenda Valentino and fiancée Robert O’Brien of Edison; son Wayne and wife Stephanie Calabrese of Bayville, NJ brother James and wife Cosma Calabrese of Toms River and 3 grandchildren Kayleigh and Michael Valentino and Anthony Wayne Calabrese. Visitation will be Tuesday January 31st, 2012 from 2-4pm and 7-9pm at the Quinn Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Funeral Mass will be offered Wednesday February 1st, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church Toms River, NJ. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Toms River.
