Born in Newark, New Jersey, moved to Nutley in 1968 then retired to Holiday City in Toms River. She worked for the State of New Jersey in the Department of Labor. Sally was a devout Catholic and served in many churches as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector and Usher. She was a member of the Rosary Society and a Religious Educator, teaching CCD classes to third graders. Sally was President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians and was elected "Irish Woman of the Year" in 2001. She loved traveling and visited many countries. She was predeceased by her parents Peter and Mary McHugh.
Sally is survived by her husband of 67 years Thomas A. O’Shea. Her daughter Donna O’Shea, her son Timothy T. O’Shea and his wife Denise, her daughter Kathleen O’Shea and her husband Lou; her grandchildren Tara, Tim, Jr., Marianne, Ryan and Kaitlyn; and her great-grandchildren April, Kacey, and Liam.
Visiting hours will be held on Monday February 6, 2023 from 9:30 am to 11:30 am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church 130 St. Maximilian Lane Toms River, NJ 08757.
