On Monday, October 19th, 2020 at 11:00pm, Selena Bullock , 49 years old, of Bayville, NJ, took an express train marked Heaven bound to meet our Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She was born in Manhattan on April 23, 1971 to Michael and Dorothy Bray.
Selena attended LaGuardia High School of Music and Art and Performing Arts. She also attended Ohio Wesleyan University, and majored in vocal performance. This is also where she got her first acting review. Selena was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Selena was a singer, songwriter, actress and she was the Director of the Manchester Gospel Choir for over ten years. Prior to this engagement, she sang with several choirs, including, The Gospel Liberators, of the Bronx, New York. Selena performed in several Off - Broadway plays including “The Gospel of The Harlem Renaissance” with playwright Titus Walker. Selena served as one of the Directors of 100 Voice Choir. She is a member of Harmony Ministries in Lakehurst, NJ and a Paraprofessional at Whiting Elementary School.
Selena is survived by four children, James Bullock and his fiancé Amanda Dozois, Taylor Bullock, Thadeus Bullock and Jadyn Bullock; three grandchildren, Elijah, Noah and Genesis; her mother, Dorothy Bray; Siblings, Shawn and wife Angela Bray, Michael Bray, Curtis and wife Joann Bray and Michael (Mikey) and wife Lisa Bray; 16 nieces and nephews: aunts & uncles and a host of cousins; and her significant other, Gerard Watkins.
Selena was an inspiration to us all. A wonderful person, with a loving heart and soul. Most importantly, she was saved and filled with the Holy Ghost.
