

Shirley J. Gulla, 74, of Toms River, NJ, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on Friday, February 16, 2018. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a service at 5:00 pm on Sunday, February 18th at Quinn Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River, NJ 08755. Predeceased by her parents, Frank and Ann Slater, Mrs. Gulla was born and raised in Piscataway, NJ and resided in Greenbrook for many years prior to retiring to Toms River. She was a dedicated and successful Real Estate Broker/Owner who, with her husband Jack E. Gulla founded Century 21 Golden Post Realty in Middlesex, NJ in 1983 which is still in operation today. “Shopping Shirl” as she was affectionately known by family and friends, loved shopping for her family but this pastime was only second to spending time with them. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Jack E. Gulla; her beloved sons, Jack F. Gulla and his wife, Lisa, and Marc E. Gulla, Sr., of Hillsborough, NJ; four adored grandchildren, Tyler, Jillian, Marc Jr. and Mariel; and her loving brother Frank Slater and his wife, Bonnie of Vienna, Maine.
