Sophie Pukala Boryack

Sophia Pukala-Boryack, 97 of Berkeley Township passed away on Thursday June 4, 2015 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Sophie was born in Manhattan, New York and lived in Manhattan, Cypress Hills and Bronx NY before moving to Berkeley Township. Sophie was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. She was a wife, mother, and an accountant and book keeper at Sachs New York and several other retail establishments .

She is pre deceased by her parents John and Anna (Podluzewycz) Horasymkiw, husband Anthony John Pukala in 1962, her son Anthony John Pukala in 2000, her husband Michael Boryack in 1989 and a brother John Powers in 2010. She is survived by many friends, nephews, nieces , grand nephews and grand nieces. Visitation will be Saturday June 13th, 2015 from 1-5pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ 08755. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday June 16th, 2015 at 9:30am at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church, 130 St. Maximilian Lane, Berkeley Township, NJ 08757. Interment will follow at St. Raymond's Cemetery in New York.
