

Terry Schiavone, beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at the age of 88.
Born Theresa Veronica Vincelli on January 6, 1936, in Long Branch, NJ, Terry was a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many.
Terry loved life and brought joy to those around her. An altruistic member of her community, she was always ready to lend a helping hand and took pride in supporting those in need. Her love and devotion to her children and grandchildren was unwavering, and she was fiercely proud of them.
Theresa was a proud graduate of Long Branch High School and the Monmouth Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. Her career began at Monmouth Medical Center, formerly known as Monmouth Memorial Hospital, where she worked until starting her family in 1962. She later assisted her husband, Joseph, in his private dental practice in Oakhurst, NJ, as well as worked as a nurse for local private schools and camps.
Outside of her professional life, Terry found joy in gardens and flowers. She had a green thumb and found solace in nurturing her plants. Additionally, she had a passion for traveling and exploring new places.
Terry was a faithful communicant of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River, where she also served as a Eucharistic minister. Her faith was a guiding light in her life.
She is survived by her loving children: CarolAnn (Schiavone) Harkavy and her husband Michael of Monmouth Junction, NJ; Michael J. Schiavone and his wife Krista of Wayne, NJ; and Joseph M. Schiavone, Jr. and his wife Julie of Raleigh, NC. Terry also leaves behind six cherished grandchildren: Christopher, David, Natalie, Matthew, Allison, and Mia. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Joseph M. Schiavone, DDS.
A Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 8, 2024 from 4-8 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, February 9, 2024 10:00 am at St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River. Following the service, Terry will be laid to rest at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport, NJ.
Flowers may be sent to Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home in Tom River, NJ. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Terry’s memory to St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church in Toms River, NJ.
Terry Schiavone will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to be a part of her life.
