Victor A. Ferrara Sr., 96, of Toms River, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Born in the Bronx, NY to the late Cosmo and Rose Ferrara, the last of seven children. Victor had moved to Toms River in 1994. Victor worked for the Railroad for over 40 years and retired from Metro North Railroad in 1991. He was a US Army Korean War Combat Veteran who proudly served his country, and awarded the Korean Service Medal with four bronze service stars.
Victor enjoyed watching and participating in all sports. He loved vacationing with his family and friends and was always the life of the party. He valued the laughter of his friends and family. Victor was known for his baking skills, especially his cheesecake.
Victor was predeceased by his loving wife Ann in 2016 and is survived by his three children; his son Victor Jr., daughters, Rochelle Ferrara and Claudine Larson and her husband John, his grandson Charles and his extended family, Lisa Nero, Gale Rodney, Kimberly Garcia and his beloved aides, Helen Gotham and Katevan Lomidze.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 3-7 pm at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Rd., Toms River. Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 3, 2025, at St. Joseph's RC Church, Hooper Ave., 10 am with entombment to follow to St. Joseph's Cemetery, Cedar Grove Rd., Toms River.
