Vinnie was born in Newark, New Jersey on December 7, 1929, the son of Michael, Sr. and Josephine, and was one of four siblings. On January 5, 1952, he married the love of his life, Regina, after dating when the two were 16.
Prior to retiring, he was a Sheriff's Officer for Essex County in Newark, where he worked for 25 years. Vinnie enjoyed bowling, travelling, dancing, and playing cards, and spending time with his wife and family in the "Cousins Club." He was a die-hard NY Giants fan.
Vinnie was predeceased by his loving wife of 64 years, Regina "Reggie"; and by his son, Vincent DePaul Jr.
Surviving are his daughter, Michele Haluszka (Ronald); his son, Steven DePaul (Cheryl), his daughter-in-law Jennie DePaul; his grandchildren: Marlaina Burzinski (Joe), Ronald Haluszka (Brie), Michael Haluszka (Amanda), Steven DePaul (Jessica Daneke), Vincent Haluszka (Diane), Danielle DePaul, Caitlin DePaul and Ashley DePaul; and his great-grandchildren: Joseph, Vinny, Brett, Mercedes, Angel, Faith, Jasiah, Raegan, Mikaela, Dylan and Natalie. More than anything else, Vinnie loved and cherished his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A visitation will be held on Friday, June 11, 2021 from 9am-11:30am at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 25 Mule Road, Toms River, NJ. A funeral service will be held in conjunction with the visitation at 11:30am. Entombment will follow at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River.
