Vito R. Festa, 93, of Toms River, NJ joined his beloved wife Evelyn in eternal rest on Saturday November 17, 2018 at Holiday Care Center in Berkeley Twp. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Elizabeth, NJ prior to moving to Toms River in 1991. Vito served honorably in the US Navy during WW II and the Navy reserves during the Korean Conflict. As part of the “Greatest Generation” he has proven himself to be a truly loving and strong pillar of society. He lived his life as a positive example to all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
Vito was predeceased by his beloved wife Evelyn in 2016. He is survived by children Diane Parkin and husband Warren of Rahway, NJ, Vito P. Festa of Berkeley Heights, NJ. Michael Festa of Barnegat, NJ, Anthony Festa of Toms River, NJ, Patrick Festa of Toms River, NJ and Deborah Nowicki and husband Mark of Somerville, NJ,; along with grandchildren Jessica Parkin, Thomas Parkin, Tiffany Festa Sneddon, Alyssa Festa, Ryan Festa, Erica Festa, Matthew Festa, Nicole Festa, Michael Nowicki, James Nowicki and 9 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday November 20, 2018 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home 26 Mule Road Toms River, NJ 08755 where a funeral service will take place at 7:30 PM. Cremation will be private. Burial with Military Honors will take place at Brigadier General Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
