Tribute from son Michael:
Pop- thank you so much for making me the man I am today. You had many sayings that will always stick with me;
-the five p's : prior planning produces perfect performance
- it's only paper you can't take it with you
But the best of all was :
Live every day like it's your last because someday you'll be right
Well Pop, although you are no longer with us, your spirit and life of the party will be with us forever. No more pain, no more suffering, no more crying, enjoy endless food and babas (beer) in heaven, until we meet again.
Love Michael.
Tribute from son Dennis:
Pop,
Whether it was playing baseball in the street, being on the soccer sidelines, taking us crabbing or going sledding with us, as kids you were there for us. Later on it was coming to pick me up in Carolina when my car died, driving out to California or attending sporting events with us, you were there for us. So many more memories but most of all you taught us and not only Michael and I to be everything. You taught us how to be children, young men, adults, providers for our families and even grandparents when our time comes. You leave enormous shoes to fill and if we can fill them just halfway would be an accomplishment. I love you my father, my friend, my role model. May you continue your journey on the most exotic beach or poolside. We all know it will probably be poolside….. there's no sharks there.
Love Dennis.
