Alice Mary Doris (Reeves) Moore, a resident of Bethany Lodge Nursing Home in Markham, passed into the presence of her Saviour on October 10th, 2014 at the age of 94 years. She was born in Toronto, daughter of the late John (Jack) and Henrietta Reeves. Alice came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour when she was 25 and lived her life loving and following Him. Everywhere she went she sought to be a witness for Christ and would speak of His saving grace to everyone she met. She enjoyed being in fellowship at Unionville Gospel Hall but over the years had also attended People’s Church and the Brancondale and Lansing Gospel Halls. While at People’s, Alice was very happily involved in the hospitality ministry, the Psalm Tuesday Group, Faith in Action and especially enjoyed going with her church family on day trips. She also very much enjoyed spending time with her friends at the coffee shop. She also used those opportunities to witness whenever she got a chance. Alice was an exemplary mother to her children and was always there for each of her children; quietly, selflessly and devotedly pouring herself into their parenting and care. She was a great provider for her family working long arduous hours as an express cashier for Dominion Stores at Jane and Shoreham until retiring at 65 years. She had a great sense of humour and created many special memories with her family and friends.
Loved and loving mother of Carolyn Owen (Brian) of Gore Bay, Donna Efford (Bill) of Brampton, Elizabeth Crosbie (Steven) of Barrie, David and Grace Moore of Toronto. Proud grandmother of Donna-Lynn Cabral, Rob Efford, Paul Crosbie, Cindy, Stephen and Drew Owen; great grandmother of Brenden, Meagan, Jaime Lynn, Renée, Alexander, Stephanie, Joshua, Cassidy, Michaela and Reagan; great great grandmother of Esmée and Tyson. Also survived by her sister Thelma Skeaff and aunt Barbara Robertson.
