His parents and sister, Miloslava predeceased him.
He is survived by Wanda, his wife of fifty years, who will miss him forever.
Mirek escaped from Communist Czechoslovakia in 1969. He immigrated to Canada in 1971 where he had a successful business career before retiring at age 56.
In retirement he enjoyed carpentry, gardening, puzzles (especially sudoku) and animals (especially our pet cats).
His favourite time of day was the morning when he made coffee for us and read the newspaper.
He will be greatly missed by our large extended family and friends.
