Cheryl was a nice person and loved having parties with Rob . I remember especially out doubles squash games / Xmas drop in. Rob and Cheryl’s wedding was an event to remember . RIP

As a friend and frequent squash partner we spent many hours discussing life and indeed other planes and the afterlife.
From Cheryl's beliefs I know she's out there somewhere

 

It is a rare person that breaks the boundary between work and friendship, but Cheryl was one of the best bosses, and later friends, of my P&G years. We kept in touch long after I left Canada, sharing out mutual love of cats and horses (the latter being maybe more Courtney’s) over a great night out.

I remember being able to give back some coaching to Cheryl when her younger sister died of cystic fibrosis and the event threatened to blow the family apart, as my mother’s early death had done a year before. I hope my words helped a tragedy from becoming an even bigger one.

I last spoke to Cheryl when my former riding coach, Jamie Smart, who also coached Courtney, passed away. We shared a sense of indignation that neither of us knew until well after the fact and had found out in a rather tangential way.

It is the height of irony that I found out about Cheryl in a similar way. Cheryl, your sage advice — delivered in such a formative time of my life — still often rings in my ears. I can’t believe you’re gone so ridiculously young.

Dear Rob and Courtney, 

It is with a heavy heart that I write to express my condolences to you both, and to your family, on the loss of Cheryl.  We shared many happy times together in my Toronto days, and being in our twenties, we owned the world! She was a true friend, confidante and adventurer. I shall forever remember her smile and her laugh which lives on in Courtney. My thoughts are with you through this very sad and difficult time.

My condolences to Cheryl's family .........I knew Cheryl from our years working together at P&G .  She was a stand out in so many ways , from her business career to her athletic prowess but what I remember most was her smile.  She was such a positive person and always made you feel good interacting with her.  May she live on in your hearts and continue to smile down on all of us who knew her.

Dear Rob and Courtney, It is not hard for me to think of the many traits that  made her such a beautiful person . I just think of how she conducted herself on the squash court especially when she played with me . Obviously she had to show patience . She was skilled and very focused. She was kind and caring . But more  importantly she felt it wasn’t important to win all the time but more important to always give your all. This is how she lived her life  . Taken way too early . May she Rest In Peace 

Thanks to Cheryl, i am reminded how small our world really is .... and wishing her a peaceful journey. To Rob and Courtney, wishing you the comfort of friends and many happy memories.

There are a few great memories to share but most of them have been spending wonderful times together with Cheryl and Rob during our IMast trips to  Mexico City and others locations. Cheryl always had some of the best stories to tell from her heart when presenting her well planned out gifts to the other teams. We will miss seeing her around the squash community.
