David Wayne Getgood

He is survived by his wife Kathy (Bilon) of almost 35 years; his son Alexander, step-daughters Michelle and Tanya; his grandchildren Cassandra, Jace, Avery, Tyler, Riley and Morgan (Said); and great-granddaughter Nyla.

He is remembered lovingly by his mother Dawn Getgood (Zeron). He will be missed by his siblings John, Alan (Kara), Douglas, Ann Marie (David), Dawn, Diane, Gordon, Kari and Kim (Peter) and brother-in-law Michael (Mary). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Dave is pre-deceased by his father Lewis and brother Donald.

He will be remembered for his creativity in fiddle-playing, woodworking, painting and taking up any art that struck his fancy. Conversations with Dave were always engaging, as he was passionate about many topics. Most recently, he became interested in his family genealogy.

A visitation for David will be held Saturday, April 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Willowdale, Ontario M2M 4K4, followed by a funeral service from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A reception will take place immediately following the service. All are welcome.

Cremation has already taken place. The family will gather for the internment at a later date.
