Dolores Moran

Dolores Moran passed away on March 11, 2026, after a long and beautiful life devoted to family and friends. Dolores was a woman of true elegance. She carried herself with a grace and poise that defined both how she was raised and the way things were done. She never stepped out into the world without presenting herself with the same quiet refinement that defined everything she did. Those who knew her will remember not only her charm, but the extraordinary warmth she brought into every room. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.

Dolores was predeceased by her husband, Rod, with whom she shared a long and loving marriage. Rod and Dolores loved nothing more than entertaining, and their home was a place where friends were always welcomed. Together they built a full life, rich with friendship, good company, and no shortage of laughter. Dolores was a devoted and selfless wife in every sense, and in Rod's later years she cared for him with strength, dedication and unwavering love.

Dolores had a gift for friendship and formed deep, lasting connections everywhere she went. But of all the places in the world, none was more special to her than Silver Islet. She first visited when she was young and returned year after year throughout her life, always saying it was "good for the soul." A devoted reader, she was rarely without a book, and Silver Islet was the perfect place indulge that love, reconnect with old friends and family and feel grounded in her roots.

Dolores was also predeceased by her sister, Myrna, whose passing left her heartbroken. She is survived by her three children, Rod (Luciana), Dave (Rosa Maria), and Laura (Colin), who were the center of her world. She took enormous pride in the people they became, and that same joy extended to her seven grandchildren — Matthew, Nicole, Sam, Abby, Ben, Isabella, and Kate — whose lives she followed closely and spoke of with great love and affection. She will be remembered by her family and friends with the same warmth and love she gave to all of them.
