It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frederick Dean LaVigne on Friday, July 30th, 2021, with his beloved wife Hoa, his sons Aaron and Danny and his niece Suzanne by his side at the Humber River Hospital. He was 77 years old.
Fred was born December 26th, 1943 in Heartland, New Brunswick. In 1997 Fred married the love of his life, Hoa Lieu.
Fred is predeceased by his parents Joseph and Louise LaVigne as well as brothers Raymond, Leo, Ralph, Peter, Jimmy, Robert, Donald and sisters Irene, Marjorie, Madelyn and Donna. Fred is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Hoa, son Aaron (Valerie) son Danny (Michelle), grandchildren Johnathon (Amy), Joshua and Shayla, Joshua, Rhiannon and Kiana and great grandson Adrien. He is also predeceased by his father in-law Cong Lieu and Survived by mother in-law Loan Pham, brothers in-law Tu (Hoa), Dat, Si (Phung), Duc (Hao), Bien (Duyen) and sisters in-law Dieu, Anh and Khiet (Hien). Also nephew Minh (the Minhster). As well as a large circle of friends too numerous to mention.
Fred successfully ran his own drywall and renovation business for many years. He was a hard worker and would always be there for family and friends without hesitation.
Fishing and hunting as well as his cottage were some of his passions. He had a good heart and the love of family. He will be sadly missed for his energy and enthusiasm. For everyone that knew Fred the best, they knew he was the teller of Tall Tails.
A visitation for Fred is planned for Wednesday, August 4, from 2 to 4 and from 6 to 8 at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home (6191 Yonge Street). A service for Fred will be held in the same location Thursday, August 5 at 10:45 am.
Fred will be cremated and interment will be at Highland Memorial at a later date.
