It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Georgia Mary Katherine Thomson on Sunday October 1st, 2017. Georgia will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 51 years Richard Thomson, sons Michael and David , her grandchildren Ebony & Allie and her brothers Lang Hartfield & Paul Lenneard. Predeceased by her sister Marsha Thompson.
As a pioneer in the aviation field, Georgia was one of the first females to fly a commercial aircraft in Canada. Georgia and her husband had operated a Tennis School in Collingwood Ontario for over 30 years. Georgia was also an avid gardener. A very special thanks to the care-givers who took care of Georgia, Joan Bissoondyal, Maria Vargas and others at CCAC. Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for Family & Friends. For those who wish Memorial Contributions may be made in Georgia’s name to the charity of their choice.
