With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Heyrash Mosharafi, who left us far too soon at the age of 42. Though his time with us was brief, Heyrash’s legacy of love, resilience, and quiet strength will echo through the lives of those who knew and loved him.
Born in Sanandaj, Iran in 1981, Heyrash spent his early years in Ahvaz and later lived in cities like Yazd as his father’s work took the family across the country. In 2004, he began a new chapter in Canada, making homes in Toronto and later Vancouver, where he built a life rooted in connection, kindness, and authenticity.
Heyrash was a man of quiet depth and many passions. He found joy in life’s simple moments — long walks with no destination, spontaneous drives, and conversations with new people. Music was his constant companion, with Guns N’ Roses and Metallica holding a special place in his heart. November Rain, one of his favorite songs, reminds us that "nothing lasts forever, even cold November rain." These words resonate deeply as we reflect on the fleeting nature of life and the precious gift of time shared with him.
At the core of Heyrash’s life was his family. He shared an unbreakable bond with his brother, sisters, nieces, and nephew, who were his greatest source of pride and joy. His coworkers often spoke of the warmth in his voice when he mentioned his family, a reflection of the deep love and connection that defined him.
Heyrash will be remembered for his kind and generous spirit, his easygoing nature, and his quiet strength in the face of life’s challenges. He was the kind of person who made others feel seen and valued — a true friend and a source of steady comfort to those around him. His life was a testament to the power of resilience, love, and unwavering authenticity.
As we grieve his loss, we take comfort in knowing that Heyrash’s spirit will live on in the hearts of those he touched. In the words of his favorite song, "Everybody needs somebody," and Heyrash was that somebody for so many of us. Though his song has ended, his melody will linger on — a quiet yet powerful reminder of love, strength, and the beauty of a life well lived.
Rest peacefully, dear Heyrash. Your light may have dimmed, but your warmth and love will continue to shine in our hearts, forever guiding us through life’s dark moments.
Visitation and Funeral Service will be held on Saturday March 15, 2025 at the Kane-Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street in North York. Visitation will begin at 12 pm and the service at 1 pm. Heyrash will be laid to rest following services at Elgin Mills Cemetery in Richmond Hill.
