Mrs. Jean Kwai Ching Woo

Sorrowfully, we announce the peaceful passing of Jean Kwai Ching on April 4 2023 with her devoted sons and family by her side.

Jean survived her treasured and devoted husband Sam when he passed in 2011. Jean was the cherished and loving wife to Sam for over 42 years, and beloved mother to Mark (Peggy) and Gil (Jan) and proud grandmother to River, Ocean, Aurora and Trillium. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings, cousins, nephews, nieces, friends and neighbors.

Jean was a woman made from the strongest of materials. She endured through difficult times and carried the burdens of her family over top of her own. With focus and determination she worked hand in hand with her husband to become very successful business owners. They operated the business with the strength of steel to raise their family, support their employees to have successful lives and to feed the community around them.

Jean was a wife and mother over everything else. She was inquisitive and loved to observe and learn new things. She was fun loving and always looked to find the goodness, happiness and joy in everything. Jean loved being with her family, sharing in all that they do and having deep laughs together. Her patience, beauty, joy and strength will be forever remembered.

The family invites relatives and friends to share their memories of a Jean during visitation, held at the Kane-Jarrett Funeral Home 6191 Yonge Street, North York on Thursday April 13 2023 from 11am-12pm. Funeral service will be the same day from 12pm-1pm in the chapel of the funeral home followed by internment at Holy Cross Cemetery 8361 Yonge Street, Thornhill.
