Dede as I sit here today writing this message box I struggle to find the right words. It seems almost like a bad dream that you're gone, and it hurts to think about a future without you. I often find myself sitting and thinking about you a lot, thinking about where you are and how you're doing. But above all, I'm thinking about whether or not you're happy. As I hear stories from my sisters about your younger self I can't help but feel a sense of nostalgia, as if I already heard them already. This is because even without these stories I already knew you were a great man. A man who loved his family, and would do anything for them. You will never be forgotten, grandpa, as your legacy will live forever through your children and grandchildren and even great grand children. You have impacted all of us in unimaginable ways. As for me, you will always be my De De, the one who went out fighting even until the end cause thats just who you are. Until next time, De De, I look forward to seeing you again in the future where i'm sure you'll be smiling that same smile that has made me smile all my life.

Hi Dede, I believe no matter how, spoken or unspoken, love stays the same. You will always be my grandfather, and I will remember you. You are so brave, and so incredibly strong, and so independent, and resourceful, and so stubborn, and funny, and so silly sometimes. I love you very much. I learned a lot from you.  Wherever you are in your next life, wherever you go and how it becomes, I hope it is filled with happiness.

My grandfather was an incredible person who lived a full life. From hearing his stories, his zeal for life was evident. He embodied strength, joyfulness, determination, kindness, and humour. He went through life, and especially near the end, with the most beautiful smile on his face - undoubtedly good looking from start to finish.

Most importantly, he was an amazing parent to his sons and daughters who in turn are now equally amazing parents. He leaves behind a long legacy - each of us who will miss him dearly everyday. I know that would not be who I am without his influence. 

I have been blessed to be able to know and experience his love. I thank God for my time with him. Holding his words, love, and kindness in my heart forever I miss him more than I can say. Until we meet again, my heart knows he's in a better place.

Although I only met Khai Phat a few times it was evident that he was loving and caring person.  The impact he had can be seen through his loving family.  My prayers and sincere condolences go to his family.

Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Khai Phat Tram, I know through his granddaughter Tiffany that he touched and enriched the lives of everyone who knew him. Hi Dad. Sitting here reading all these messages from your children and grandchildren, my mind goes back to a lot of memories. The times I spent with you, all the doctor appointments...you went through a lot. I wish I could've shared the pain. You were a strong man with a strong will to live, to survive. We tried to fight for your survival, hoping for a miracle to happen. It was a hard decision to prolong your life, to give us hope that you were going to make it. In the end, we realized it wasn't going to happen. In my heart, I never wanted to say goodbye. It came too quickly. Till the moment you stopped breathing, I stayed to the end. From when everyone left, to when the nurse took off all your needles, I didn't want to go, to leave you behind in the cold room. Every end is another beginning for your journal of life. I wish you a long, happy, journey. You will always be in my heart. You are someone I can truly call my dad. I love you dearly. Your daughter, Jolly.

Dede, you were an inspirational man who not only worked hard for our family, but loved us even more so. I remember hearing stories of your kindness, your dedication, and your accomplishments; my only regret is not hearing them from your own mouth. My grandpa is one of the greatest grandpa I ever know. He always there for this grandchildren starting for the oldest Granddaughter  to the youngest and the same thing for the oldest grandson to the youngest....

Mr.Tram Khai Phat was my best person and my favorite grandfather. 
DeDe, when you leave your body, a lot of people were crying. I was very sad, I miss you very much. When I came to Canada, I was very scary. I couldn't speak English, and I don't know anything. But when I met you and grandmother, I felt so welcome. You always looked so nice and smiled to me so softly. Your smile is still in my mind.  I will never forget your smile. I Remember when we went to eat some Japanese noodle. You got the B ball for me. I was very happy. I still have it and I will keep it forever. Even though you are my step grandfather but i alway see you as my real grandfather Because you loved me like your real grandchild.

My grandfather was an amazing man. There are no real words that can describe who he was, he was simply remarkable. He was kind, funny, strong, and brave. He was optimistic, and broke down every barrier that came his way. I am blessed to have known him, and my life is better for it. I will carry your words with me forever, and miss you every day.

Words cannot express how saddened I am to hear of Tiffany's Gong Gong. I know that Khai Phat is a very influential person.. I've heard many great stories about his charming attitude and chess skills. My most heartfelt condolences to the Tram family. May he Rest in Peace.

Although my grandfather was a man of few words, he deeply touched many, many souls. His laughter, twinkly-eyed smile, quiet steps, admirable strength, gentle support, and calm presence...all of these are passionately missed. Rest well and in peace, DeDe. You will never be forgotten, and through the memories and love of the people dearest to you, you live on.

My grandfather, was a very good man. Always keeping his smile, I can safely say that I have never seen him carry a frown upon his face.
I remember, a few weeks before he left, he told me to speak up because I couldn't translate my Chinese well. He then told me to speak English; once again, not loud enough. He then told me this  piece of advice that I will forever hold dearly for as long as I live.
He told me, "Speak louder. Not only in Chinese or English, but just louder."
Since then, I have learned to speak up for my own beliefs. He will always live on in my heart. Speaking loud to me in my mind, and to all who loved and still loves him.

My grandfather was the best grandfather in the history of grandfathers. He was very loving and he always had a smile on his face. We will surely miss him and we will always love him forever.

Khai Phat's determination, strength, and big smile, even during the most difficult times, was truly inspiring.  My sincere condolences to his family who cared so well and lovingly for him. Please know that you're in my prayers.

As a dear friend of Tiffany Tram, one of Mr. Khai Phat Tram's granddaughters, I would like to express my sympathy for your family's loss.  It is with my sincerest prayers and wishes that Mr. Tram's soul rest in perfect peace. May his spirit be present always in the hearts of his family and friends and forever in the memories of those whose lives he touched. Though I've never had the pleasure of meeting him, I could surely tell that Mr. Tram was an honourable man as Tiffany often spoke so highly of her grandfather. To Mr. Tram's loving family, it is to you all I offer my condolences and may peace and comfort find you during this difficult time.

Khai Phat was the most awesome grandfather ever. He was a great role model and loving father. He had a great smile and a big heart. May you find eternal peace and happiness DeDe. We will miss you dearly.
