

Khai Phat Tram was a beloved husband to Hao Banh, and a loving father to Tai Binh Hung (Mimi Ngoc Huong), My Linh (Thanh Nghiep Luu), Van Van Hung (Phongsy Tram), Peter Minh Hung (Thi Thao Nguyen), Jolly My Hue (David Huong), Anthony Quoc Hung (Quach Hue), Mark Lap Hung (Jenny Le), Kirk Chi Hung (Chi Linh Pho), Tommy Vi Hung (Yen Lee) and Steve Vu Hung (Irene Ho). He was the cherished grandfather to 33 grandchildren and to 5 great grandchildren.
Khai Phat will always be remembered by his smile, known by all for his love of life. He was brave and resourceful, emigrating from Vietnam in 1979 with his wife, young children and grandchild. While in Canada, he worked hard to succeed, leaving behind a proud and loving legacy. Khai Phat was a masterful chinese chess player, philanthropist and innovator. He has undoubtedly blessed the lives of many, will be forever missed and loved by everyone around him.
Friends may visit the Jerrett Funeral Home, 6191 Yonge Street (2 lights south of Steeles, on the east side) on Thursday April 17 from 6:00pm to 9:00pm, Friday April 18 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Saturday April 19 from 9:00am to 10:00am. A funeral service will commence at 10:00am on Saturday April 19, 2014. Cremation at Riverside Crematorium to follow.
