Obituary of Klaus Dimytruk
On September 20, 2022, Klaus was called home to God’s gentle care, surrounded by his family. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 22 years, Julie, his sons Kevin (Kelly), his step-sons Jamie (Melinda) and Sean (Nicole), his adopted family Virginia and Jason (their children, Ivann and Sam), and his grandchildren Tori, Bruce, and Jack and his great-grandson Weston. He will also be missed by many extended family members, including his sister Anita Cotton, and his Salvation Army Family. He was predeceased by his brother Werner (Ven) Dimytruk. He was a devoted member of the Salvation Army North Toronto Citadel and a dedicated Chaplain at the Hope Shelter in downtown Toronto, where he touched the lives of many vulnerable persons. Klaus loved fishing and photography, a passion he carried on right to the end of his life. The family would like to express their thanks to the doctors and nurses at Lakeridge Health Ajax Pickering Hospital for their kind and compassionate care at the end of Klaus’ life. Funeral Service will be held at St. Peters Estonian Evangelical Church 817 Mount Pleasant Road, Toronto at 1 pm on Wednesday September 28, 2022. Service be presided over by Captains Curtis and Erin Metcalf from Salvation Army North Toronto Community Church. Committal of Klaus’ urn will follow at York Cemetery 160 Beecroft Road North York. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the New Hope Shelter Leslieville Toronto. Messages of condolences can be left at www.kanejerrettnorthyork.ca.
