

He will be deeply missed by his children Leslie (Deborah), Thomas (Matilda "Tilly"), his grandchildren Thomas (Kim), Andrew (Celia), Peter (Maria), Stephen, and Andrea, his great grandchildren William, Melina, and Emma. Les Sr. will also be missed by his companion Elizabeth Farkas and a large community of friends at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Parish and the Central Truck Body family.
Les Sr. was predeceased by his wife of almost 60 years Eszter, the love of his life.
He was the founder of Central Truck Body Company LTD in 1966. He treated his employees as if they were his second family and stayed active in this business throughout his whole life. Les Sr. was an avid tennis fan. He loved to travel worldwide with his family and loved music and dancing.
The family wishes to thank the team at North York General who provided compassionate care to Les Sr. during his recent health challenges. A special thank you to Rowena Fernando who was his PSW and constant support in the last few months of his life.
Visitation will be held on Monday February 24, 2025 at the Kane-Jerrett funeral home at 6191 Yonge Street in North York from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church 432 Sheppard Avenue East in North York at 10:30 am. Cremation will follow at a later date.
