Of memories, both sweet and sad,
And know that ne’re again we’ll find
The joys of life that once we had.
We worked to make a better life
A place that we could call our own,
Away from all the cares and strife
And gave each child a happy home.
Those years flew by on fairy wings
And faster then the eye could see
We’ve reached the sunset of our lives
To-gether Darling, you and me.
And yet I see the youth I knew
With hair of black, now turned to gray,
To me you’ll always be that lad,
The one who stole my heart away.
