Margaret Jean Bernard, age 93, of Toronto, Ontario passed away at North York General Hospital on Saturday, February 5, 2022. Margaret was born in Toronto on March 19, 1928 to Alexander Calder Sutherland and Jane (Aldeman) Sutherland of Glasgow, Scotland and Middlesex, England respectively.
Margaret (nee Sutherland) beloved wife of the late Joseph "George" Bernard. Pre-deceased by her sister Mary Sutherland and brother Alexander Sutherland.
Dear "Aunt Magpie" to Glenn (Linda) Sutherland and Lynn (Allan) Maclean. Loved Great Aunt of Jason (Candace) Maclean and Brandon (Genny) Maclean. Great Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews; most recently to Brandon and Genny's firstborn, Rhys.
Dear friend to sister-in-laws Eva Arsenault, the late Rita Gold and the late Barbara Sutherland Coleman.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Margaret's dear friends Eileen Boot and Asimina Siskopoulos for their exemplary care of Margaret particularly over the last few months.
