Mary Donaghey (nee Lucarz) passed away peacefully at NYGH Seniors Health Centre on May 18, 2025.
Mary is predeceased by her sister Florence Keefe (nee Lucarz) her mother Helen (nee Tabor) and her father Andrew Lucarz.
Mary was born in Tarnów, Poland on November 11, 1926. Mary, her sister Florence and mother Helen travelled from Poland to Rosefield, Saskatchewan in 1927 to meet her father Andrew where he had set up the family farm homestead. As a young woman, Mary moved to Ontario, eventually becoming a resident of Willowdale for over 60 years.
Loving wife of 60 years to Gerry (Peter Gerrard - predeceased January 27, 2018).
Dear mother to Marlene, Helen, Hugh, Tim and Steven and their spouses. Cherished nana to eight grandchildren and their spouses, as well as two great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Trinity Roman Catholic Church (3220 Bayview Ave., Toronto, ON) on Friday, May 30th at 10:00 a.m.
