Died on January 9, 2021, at age 95, in Toronto.

Loving wife to Donald MacLeod (deceased 1990) and partner, Sidney Farr (deceased 2010). Loving mother of Nancy Dawson (Gordon) and Robert MacLeod (Patricia), grandmother of Tory (Parrish), Scott (Sydney), Caitlin, and Kirsten MacLeod, sister of Laurdrene (Deenie) Stewart (John), Leonard Wood (deceased 1996) (Marlene), Doris Wood (deceased 1931). Charter Member of the Donalda Club. Past member of Widows and Widowers Club of Greater Toronto. Member of Forest Grove United Church. Teacher at Bishop Strachan School in Toronto from 1949 to 1957. Pauline was born in 1925 on a farm in Mount Herbert, Prince Edward Island. Graduate of Arcadia University with a B.Sc. in 1947. Pauline met her husband, Don MacLeod, when both travelled to represent their provinces for the 4H Club at the Royal Winter Fair in Toronto. They enjoyed travelling the world for business and pleasure after they married. Pauline opened her home and heart to her extended family and friends. Pauline enjoyed her cottage on Lake Couchiching. Her family was deeply important to her and her grandchildren were nearby. Pauline appreciated the support of Gil Berringer, a close and dear friend, as well as a strong network of friends. She was a successful competitive member of the Donalda Club Bridge Club. Pauline and her second partner, Sidney, met during the war in Prince Edward Island, as teenagers, when he was with the RAF on a training base. They reconnected after a time span of 40 years and, after the passing of their spouses, were in a loving relationship for seven years, splitting their time between Belfast, Northern Ireland and Canada. Pauline was always grateful for the Farr family's warm acceptance and continued support and contact after Sidney's death. Pauline has said not to grieve once she is gone, as she has led a long, interesting and happy life beyond her wildest dreams while growing up on Prince Edward Island. She had loving broadminded parents and was particularly close to her sister. Her husband, partner, and extended family loved her dearly. Pauline appreciated the care she received from staff at Amica Bayview Gardens. Thank you. There will be no service at this time. Donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, if desired. To the Family;
I have a handful of memories of being around Pauline and Deenie when they would come home in the summer for family visits. My father Ernest Wood( their cousin) would always be excited to see the "girls". His only complaint was that it was never long of a visit. Over the years he kept me up to date of the many stories and adventures. Pauline truly had a wonderful life and enjoyed it fully. Ernie always had great admiration and respect for Pauline. The world has lost a wonderful woman and her presence will be missed by many.

Nancy, Robert and your Families,
I am so sorry for your loss. Aunt Pauline was quite the lady. I enjoyed my summer time visits with her either at the cottage or in Toronto. She once told me that she had a wonderful life and I believe she really did. I will miss her and cherish my memories of Aunt Pauline.

Dear Pauline
You excelled at life, you were cherished by your parents Maimie , and Walter. Aunt Mary was so proud of the success of "her girls"... you were the example your brother Leonard held as a successful woman. As I would drive to deliver cream at Garden City Dairy, in his truck, doing spellings and math, "someday you could be like my sister and be a teacher."
Prudence thought you girls were the finest of ladies. The last time we met ,I dropped Leonard at your home, while on meetings. On the drive home he spoke of the fabulous meals, the games of cards, and the family history chats.
Such a blessing that you and Deenie could share your adult lives in close proximity.
Soar high and free, blessings to your family as they mourn a wonderful Mom.
Your PEI cousins

I had the privilege of knowing Mrs. MacLeod for more than 40 years after becoming a great friend of Nancy during our university days. She was always a warm and welcoming hostess who loved to entertain her children's friends and have real conversations with them about what was happening in their lives. Later I admired her resilience as she dealt with her beloved husband's early death and moved on to achieve an active and meaningful life at the cottage and beyond. I will never forget the time she took to send me a special sympathy card and note when my own mother passed 10 years ago. Truly a great lady who enjoyed a well deserved long and rich life.
