Rhoda MacRitchie (nee Macdonald) Toronto, Ontario – March 14th, 2023. Wife of Dr. Kenneth John MacRitchie, loving mother of Duncan (Elizabeth) in Scotland and Iona (Mike Wise) in Toronto. Devoted grandmother (‘Seanmhair’) of Finlay, Calum and Isla. Born and raised on the Isle of Harris in the Outer Hebrides, Scotland, Rhoda was a fluent Gaelic speaker and promoted the Celtic language, music, and culture as visiting teacher at St. Michael’s College (University of Toronto) and St. John’s College, Washington, D.C. For many enjoyable years, she also taught in the English department at the Toronto French School. Visitation at Glenview Presbyterian Church, 1 Glenview Ave, Toronto on Friday, March 31st, 2023; 630-830PM. Funeral service to be held at Glenview Presbyterian Church, Toronto on April 1st, 2023 at 1100AM. Interment to take place at the family cemetery, Luskentyre, Isle of Harris, Scotland
