Rocchina Manserra

Rocchina Manserra, age 93, of Toronto, Ontario passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023.

Rocchina was born in Monteleone di Puglia, Italy and emigrated to Canada in August of 1953.

She will be deeply missed by her children Luciano (Michelle), Giovanna (Oscar), and Giuseppe (Cremilda), her grandchildren Anthony (Sarah), Matthew (Nicole), Michael (Keitha), Elisa (Marc), Emily (Diego), Danielle, Gabrielle, and Luke, and her great grandchildren AJ, Jillian, Ruairi, Rene, Aleitha, Carter, and Jade. She will be fondly remembered by a large extended family and network of friends.

Rocchina was most committed to her faith and family. She was an accomplished needleworker, eg. sewing, embroidery, and crocheting. She was also passionate about music, singing in many choirs through her whole life. Rocchina was an avid gardener, enjoying her flower and vegetable gardens, especially her roses.

The family would like to express their deep gratitude for the care that Rocchina received at Sunnybrook Veterans' Centre.

A visitation for Rocchina will be held Wednesday, August 23, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto, ON. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 24, 2023 from 11:00 AM at Blessed Sacrament Parish, 24 Cheritan Ave, Toronto, ON. A committal service will occur following at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto (at Lansdowne).

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sunnybrook Veterans' Centre in Rocchina's memory.
