I always remember Roland's quick wit.  When his 3 children were young, and he was a painter and decorator, he said to my mom (Audrey Wolff) that the ideal design for a dining room was to tile the whole room and put a floor drain in the middle and just hose it down after every meal.  That image stayed with me through the young years of children and grandchildren.  He and Mackie were great friends to my family.  Lynn Wolff

So saddened to hear of Roland’s passing. He was a gentleman, who always greeted us with a smile, a great story about his cherished family and a wonderful cup of coffee!

I was so sorry to hear that Roland has passed. Seems like forever years of past memories, events and enjoyments since I had spent any time with the Wood family.  Roland was had the kindest soul, we used to have really good conversations and exchanged humour.  To all the families, my heartfelt condolences to everyone, he will be missed!

We had the pleasure of meeting and sitting with Roland at Emily and Tyler’s wedding, Roland was very gracious and charming to our Mothers (Tyler’s grandparents) he entertained everyone at the table, we truly enjoyed his company, a few years ago we also spent Father’s Day at Brian and Lois’s home in the company of Roland and remember him telling stories of time gone bye with a  wonderful sense of humour.

So sad to hear of Roland*s passing.  He was a true gentleman and a blessed Christian with whom i always enjoyed sharing time and fellowship when we met at St. Matthew, the Apostle.  Roland  always  had a lovely smile and lots of amazing stories to share, and I will miss him very much, as will many fellow parishioners.  My sincerest condolences to  his wonderful family, whom he adored.

I have lived next door to Roland for the last 42 years and I can say without reservation that he was the best and most friendly person that anyone could ever have as a neighbour.  He enjoyed working around his home and particularly loved his garden and flowers around his favorite sitting area on his patio.
Roland will be sadly missed.

My father, Jack Bresnahan, worked with Roland for many years, at the church.  His name frequently came up in conversations.  Although my parents are now deceased I always remember Roland's name being prevalent in our home.  My condolences to all his friends and family.
