She is survived by her husband John and her son Nolan. She is also survived by her parents Steve and Carol Dutsas, her sister Laura Dutsas-Carrick and her nephew Steven.
Teresa will be remembered as a caring person who loved family and was fond of the time she spent with them. Teresa adored animals. She was emotionally drawn to animals of all types. When Nolan was younger, she would take him to the Toronto Zoo weekly to ‘explore’ and learn new things. When not at the zoo, time would often be spent watching documentaries and programs about animals and their habitats. What Teresa most adored about animals was that they unconditionally love you. Well, that was Teresa, her love, support and caring were always unconditional.
Teresa was a proud Canadian and Torontonian. She was born and lived her life in Toronto. Canadians appear to have a love/hate relationship with the city of Toronto. Teresa was clearly on the ‘I love Toronto’ side.
The family would like to express deep thanks to the staff at North York General Hospital for their compassionate care.
