Theodora Gogovita (nee Gheorghioris) passed away peacefully at home with family by her side in Toronto on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Constantin Gogovita, she will be dearly missed by her son Noru, daughter-in-law Carolyn and grandchildren Joanna (Drew), Michael and Daniel.
Theodora was born in Bucharest, Romania to Sotir Gheorghioris and Constantina Lopas. At the age of 9 she moved with her parents and one of her sisters to northern Greece where they lived in the town of Pricopi (Precopana) until after the war. At that time she found her way back to Romania where she met her husband and married in 1954. In 1975 she, her husband and her son immigrated to Canada where she lived in Toronto and Sutton. Her last 15 years were spent living with her son and his family in Toronto.
