

Val passed peacefully with family by his side, after a battle with lung cancer, on October 19,2025, in Orangeville, Ontario. He is survived by his spouse of 47 years, Nieva Mariano Carpio, his children, Nathaniel Moses Carpio (Aila Acio Carpio) and Morena Carmela Carpio Suhrie (Jason Suhrie), his grandchildren Dylan Issac Carpio, Kaila Joyce Carpio, Hannah Lovelle Carpio, and Daniel Joseph Suhrie.
Val Carpio is also survived by his 4 siblings, Soledad Nagtalon, Digna Carpio, Miguel Carpio and Vida Carpio. He is pre-deceased by his parents Dominador and Benedicta Carpio, and brothers, Cayetano, Winston and Dolphus Carpio.
Val will be remembered as a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather, brother and uncle. He will be especially remembered for his strong faith in God, his service to the church and spreading the word of Jesus’ soon return.
His family would like to express a deep thank you to everyone who prayed for and visited Val in the hospital. He will be greatly missed and we are all looking forward to that glorious morning when we shall see our dear Val again.
Visitation for Valentin will be held Thursday, October 23rd, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Kane-Jerrett Funeral Homes, 6191 Yonge Street, Toronto, (South of Steeles Ave.) Visitation will also take place on Friday, October 24th, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Filipino Seventh Day Adventist Church, 140 St Regis Crescent, Toronto. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 24th, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Mt. Zion Filipino Seventh Day Adventist Church, 140 St Regis Crescent, Toronto. Interment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, Mausoleum & Cremation Centre, 5830 Bathurst St, Toronto.
