Vi’s legacy of cooking, food and love of family is instilled in the loved ones she leaves behind, her daughters Joanne and Andrea, her grandchildren, Andrea, Antonia, Michael, Leah and Natalie, and her great-grandchildren, Luciano, Adriano, Charlie, Francesca, and Hunter.
Pre-deceased by her husband Nicky, her brothers Primo and Joe, her sisters Mima, Ella and Mary, her two cherished sisters-in-law Lena and Annie DiFalco, as well as Ida Marchione and Josephine Vessio. Vi worked at Dagwood’s, the family restaurant, where many a good time and great meal was had by friends and family who stopped by on a regular basis to enjoy her cooking.
She then procured a job at the post office which she held for many years until she retired.
We will fondly remember making Christmas cookies by her side, and laughing around her table at all the delicious family dinners she so lovingly prepared. Vi will be remembered for her laughter and her colourful turn of phrase, her strong will and independence, her sense of humour and tolerance of all the antics of her grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, monetary donations can be made to www.redcross.ca in Vi’s memory, or remember her by giving the gift of blood in your local community.
