Peacefully on March 6, 2020 at Humber River Hospital in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Sarah (Sadie) Whiteman to whom he was married for over 65 years. Dear father of William and his wife Veronica (Hubert). Proud Grandpa of Aidan and Robert. Predeceased by his parents William and Alfreda Smith. Bill will be remembered as a kind and caring man with a wonderful sense of humour. Visitation will be held at the Kane-Jerrett North York Funeral Home (6191 Yonge St. south of Steeles) on Wednesday, March 11 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service that will commence at 4:00 pm.
