Cathy Lynn Jones

Passed away on March 22, 2018. She was born on September 10, 1958 in Clanton, Alabama to G.D. and Hazel Jones. Cathy was the youngest of three children.

Cathy was an avid softball player throughout her life. She was an aficionado of softball, baseball, football, NASCAR (Talladega), and golf. After moving to the Pacific NW in the mid ‘90’s she worked at the Olympia Brewery, Cardinal Glass, Washington Logistics and Michaels Distribution Center.

She loved to travel and camp in her motorhome. Many trips to Hood Canal shrimping, crabbing or camping by a body of water is where she would find solace. Southern California, Mexico, Hawaii and Florida were at the top of her vacation destinations.

Love and caring for family, the elderly, and friends was most important, but also known for her laughter and most times a practical joke or two. Her southern charm was infectious yet “Tighter than Dick’s Hatband” when need be. Her love for the Alabama Crimson Tide…”ROLL TIDE ROLL!” was undeniable.

Cathy is survived by her wife of 22 years Sonya, and sister Marilyn Strickland. She was preceded in death by both parents and brother Douglas.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
