Teresa is survived by: son Manuel Pires (Connie) of Modesto; son Joe Pires (Filomena) of Turlock; son John Pires of Turlock; son Anthony Pires (Rhonda) of Turlock; son Jorge Pires of Texas; daughter Teresa Maria Dias (John Dias) of Turlock; daughter Anna Maria Talbot (Tom) of St. Louis, Missouri; sister Rosa Sousa of Hilmar; sister Jovina Lima of Hilmar; sister Balbina Amaral of Toronto; and sister Vivina Machado of Los Banos. Mrs. Pires also leaves behind fourteen grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren to honor her memory.
She was preceded in death by her husband José Miguel Pires on April 17, 1978.
Mrs. Pires was a dedicated parishioner of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church in Turlock as well as a member of the choir.
A visitation for Teresa Jesus Pires will be held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at Whitehurst-Norton-Dias Funeral Service: 286 W. Main Street, Turlock, California. A recitation of the rosary will occur following the visitation at 8:00 PM at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California.
A funeral service will occur at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 24, 2018 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church: 2602 S. Walnut Road, Turlock, California. She will be laid to rest at Turlock Memorial Park: 575 N. Soderquist Road, Turlock, California.
Serving as pallbearers are Mark Pires, Michael Pires, Gabriel Pires, Carlo Dias, Stacey Pires McElroy, Alec Talbot, Larry Pires and Paul Pires.
