

Anna Leah Suelthaus Hoffmann was called by her Lord and Savior to her heavenly home on February 23, 2012. She was born October 11, 1915 to the parents of August and Leah Pearl Chapman Suelthaus in St. Charles, Missouri. Anna was the oldest of two children; her sister Helen Henley preceeded her in death.
On June 29, 1940 Anna married the love of her life, Ernest Francis Hoffmann from St. Louis, Missouri, where they resided. Anna and Ernie were kind, loving and gentle parents to their three daughters, Gloria Anne, Marjorie Rose, and Mary Beth. In 1954 Anna and Ernie were transferred to Tyler and were devoted members of Trinity Lutheran Church for 54 years.
Anna was known to be an excellent homemaker who devoted time to her children and her hobbies of cooking, sewing and quilting. After raising her children she worked as a bookkeeper for Exum's. Anna and Ernie enjoyed retirement by traveling, gardening, maintaining a country home in Centerville, Texas and visiting their family. Anna continued to spend many hours quilting and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Quilters Guild, East Texas Quilters Guild and Trinity Lutheran Care Group.
Anna leaves behind family and friends who have many memories of her as a woman who loved first her Lord and Savior, her husband, Ernie, and her girls.
Anna is survived by her children and their spouses Gloria and Jim Robinson, Margie and John Koehler, and Mary Beth and Mike Lobin. Her grandchildren are Scott and Julie Robinson, Shelley and Aaron Glick, Karl and Shana Koehler, Richard and Christine Koehler, Anne Williams, Matthew Bradley Lobin, Amanda Lea Lobin and Meagan Francis Lobin. Anna's great-grandchildren are Kaylie and Alyssa Koehler, Joshua and Sophie Robinson, Avrie and Ellis Glick, and Colin and Ben Williams. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Anna spent her last years at Colonial Oaks in Sugar Land, Texas. She was blessed with many loving caregivers and the family wishes to thank them for their service.
Visitation is Monday, February 27th at Lloyd James Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. with the celebration of her life in Christ Jesus on Tuesday, February 28th at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Art Hill.
