She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Carl Mather and by her son, Charles Mather.
She is survived by her sons, Orville Mather of Dallas and Douglas Mather and wife, Annie of Athens; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Barbara loved her church and church family and was a devoted member of the Tyler Seventh Day Adventist Church for 38 years.
Services will be held at Lloyd James Funeral Home, 1011 E. Frist St., Tyler, Tx. 75701, Tuesday, August 15, 2023. Viewing will be from 10-11 a.m. with services beginning at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Tyler Seventh Day Adventist Adventurers Club.
