Bill Dearing, 81, of Tyler, passed away Sept. 9, 2010, at Hospice HomePlace in Tyler. Memorial services will be Saturday, Sept. 18, at 4 p.m. at the IOOF Cemetery in Georgetown. Arrangements under direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home, Tyler.
He was born on March 19, 1929, in Big Spring to Horace and Blanche Dearing. After serving his country in the U.S. Navy, he was in the electronics industry for 44 years, acting as vice president of five different electronics companies.
He is survived by his wife, Gay Wright Dearing; son, David Dearing of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and daughter, Diana Jenkins of Dallas; sister, Mary Eudy of Fort Worth; and grandchildren Chris, Julie, Erin, David, Valerie, Nathan, Joey and Justin; and their dog, Scooter.
