Funeral services for Bonnie Deane “Lloyd” Popchoke, 75, of Tyler are scheduled for 1:00pm, Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Shiloh Road Church of Christ with Mike Warner, Les Massey, and Ron Shultz officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Oaks Memorial Park, Mesquite, Texas.
Bonnie Deane "Lloyd" Popchoke was born January 11, 1944 in Calera, Oklahoma. She was married to Lyndol Popchoke on June 17, 1967. They have two children, Lea Anne Knighton and Althea Popchoke.
She is preceded in death by her father, Cecil C. Lloyd; her mother, Beatrice Lloyd; her sisters Louise Weger; Juanita McNeely and Sue Holler; brothers Ronnie Lloyd and Clifford Wayne "Cotton" Lloyd; Those left to cherish her memories are her husband Lyndol Popchoke; her daughters Lea Anne Knighton of Smith County, and Althea Deane Popchoke of Tyler, grandchildren Dennis Ray Knighton of Tyler, Christina Ann Knighton, Jason Dwayne Knighton, Jonathon Lee Knighton, and Heather Gayle Knighton all of Emory, Texas, sisters-in-law Ann Lloyd of Mesquite and Lolita Lloyd of Longview, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews and numerous friends.
She loved to read, write poetry, participate in Zumba, and work with the Sister's in Service (SIS) group at her church Shiloh Road Church of Christ. She was active in the Women with Heart organization and she was instrumental in starting first Cradle Roll Department at Mesquite Church of Christ and active in VBS for many years. Retired from Dallas County Community College District in 2001, Graduated from Southeastern Oklahoma State University with a degree in accounting.
The family will receive friends from 12:00pm, Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Shiloh Road Church of Christ.
