Brandon Arthur Matsler

Funeral services for Brandon Arthur Matsler, 40, of Tyler, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, 2016 in the chapel of Lloyd James Funeral Home with Deacon Bill Necessary officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Williams Cemetery.

Brandon passed away on Sunday, July 24, 2016, in Tyler.

He was born on June 23, 1976 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to J. L. and Brenda Kay Townsend Matsler.

Brandon worked as a DJ on Elvis Sirius Radio Station in Memphis, Tennessee. He also worked for Marlowe’s. Brandon was a social media manager for several music groups. He was known as the “Elvis Encyclopedia” on the radio.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Matsler; cousins, Penny Morrison, Fancy Gilliam, Amanda Hendrix, Richard Townsend, and Shae McCauley; aunts, Hattie Ferguson and Lavone Townsend; best friend, Matt Chrisman; and faithful friend, his dog, Twitty.

He was preceded in death by his father, J.L. Matsler.
