Brian David Boshart of Tyler Texas passed away on Saturday, January, 15, 2022 at the age of 79. Brian was born on Saturday, August, 29, 1942 in Dallas Texas. Brian was affectionately known as “BO” to some, and to others as “Gramps”.
Brian worked in retail management for approximately 10 years and then went into the freight industry, eventually driving long haul. He loved to tell stories about his driving adventures. After about 25 years in the freight industry, he retired to spend the majority of his time with the love of his life, “Polly”.
Brian's life was dedicated to God and the study of His word daily, Singing His praises and serving as a deacon for many years in the church of Christ. He had a beautiful bass voice and enjoyed singing with his brothers Charles and Don. Brian loved SMU football (a passion he shared with his brother, Don). He loved to play pool with his grandsons and tell jokes—even if you’d already heard them. He was a history buff and a staunch conservative Republican. He enjoyed cigars, reading and good food, especially sweets. He loved to travel all over the United States collecting a coffee mug from each memorable location. He was the pioneer in the discipline of detailed to-do lists and crossing off each completed item (or at least his daughters thought he invented the concept because he’d been doing it forever!)
Brian is preceded in death by his mother and father, Fred and Louise Boshart and his brother Charles Boshart. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Paulette; his brother and sister-in-law, Don and MaryAnn Boshart of Richardson, his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and John Bagert of Hideaway and daughter and son-in-law, Tracey and Michael Orrick of Hideaway, grandson Brandon Reese of Denton , and daughter Gwen Reese of Texas Tech University of Lubbock, Grace Reese of North Texas State University of Denton and Gaitlyn Reese, Grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Clint and Kristi Reese of Aledo and their children Xander and Kennedy, granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Jennie and L.J.
