My Dad was best friends with James Gehring, and I spent so much time with Shelly growing up! My heart aches for you all and I know he lived as much life as he could in his years here on earth. His determination and good attitude are lasting memories.

My nephew Brice had a very sharp wit and always put on a smile. Never one to shy from talking. He loved his video games and comic con. I will miss him.

We didn’t know Brice but knew his wonderful but agonizing story. We are members at Mt Sylvan Baptist Church where we met Ashley and Brian, who also became members. We have grown to love Ashley and Brian who joined our church and immediately went to work in many of the kid’s programs. It was apparent they loved the Lord and the kids. We couldn’t have been more happy when they became parents themselves. We have lifted Brice up to God on almost a daily basis, praying that He would spare his life so that he could continue to share his love with those around him. No doubt he was cherished by many. Just reading all the memories left above, it’s apparent how others loved and admired him. What a great legacy to leave on this earth. A legacy we all hope to leave when it’s our time. Our hearts are broken for you, Ashley, Brian and your families. We will continue to pray for the peace, understanding and comfort that passes all understanding.

P.S. I so wished he could’ve have met Patrick Mahomes. I know how much he desired to do so. But, I know, now, he’s met and embraced the greatest superstar of all, Jesus Christ.

Brice was a student at the high school I attended. I, admittedly, wasn't one of his closest friends. However, during our time as classmates, Brice found plenty of opportunities to be kind to me. When I think of a list of the most intelligent people I have ever met, Brice Sustaire is one of those at the top. He has always been smart and witty, but also gentle and humble. Now that he has moved on to the next stage of his eternal journey, those who have been touched by Brice have been called to reflect on their experiences and memories with him. I was shocked to learn the news he had died, but he is no longer suffering, for which I am grateful for on his behalf. All the best to Brice's family, those who raised him and gave him his life. What a privilege it was to share even some of the most minute experiences with someone who always treated me with respect and dignity.

I went to High school with Brice, and he seemed very friendly and always in a positive mood. He was a good friend to myself and many of his peers, and fellow classmates, I always enjoyed the pleasure of being around him and visiting with him in and around school. He is one friend that I most certainly will never forget and he will never be forgotten. Fly high Brice, and i can’t wait to see you again my friend!

Sincere condolences from the heart for you Kevin, Shelly & Ashley. I can still see that sweet smile when he visited my nurses office at school - sometimes he would have a stoic demeanor when he had something on his mind. Precious memories ❤️

Brice was always a bright life in my life. Sitting in his room playing games for hours and talking about Star Wars will always be treasured memories for me. He’ll never be forgotten.

I went to school with Brice. He was part of our little nerdy group. He was so kind and was friends with everyone. He was the only one who would sit with me when I was getting bullied. He always made time to make sure and say hi to me. He was such a cool person and everyone enjoyed his company. He will be missed by the entire Lindale 2016 class.
