He was born on January 8, 1923 in Yangzhou, China, one of four sons to Carl F. and Eva Jordan. Carl was an electrical engineer and was employed with the U.S. Army Civil Service Department. He enjoyed golf and bowling and attended First Baptist Church of Tyler for many years. Carl always enjoyed playing with his children and grandchildren.
Carl is survived by his daughter, Nancy Chase of Avondale, AZ.; son, Michael J. Jordan of San Pedro, CA.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Chris S. Jordan, Curtis R. Jordan and Ray C. Jordan.
Carl was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 60 years, Helen Claire Jordan, who passed away in 2009, and his son, Charles H. Jordan, who passed away in 2012.
Visitation will be Friday, November 23, 2012, at Lloyd James Funeral Home from 5-7 PM.
Memorial service will be Saturday November 24, at 11:30 AM at Lloyd James Chapel.
