Carl Wilson Shine

Carl Wilson Shine, age 70, of Mineola, Texas passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021. Carl was born August 12, 1950 in Tyler, Texas. He spent most of his career in car dealership management and sales. He also enjoyed traveling, fishing, and attending all of his grandchildren's events. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bobbie Jo Boyd, in 1995 and his father, Bernie Wilson Shine, in 2011. He is survived by his wife, Sheri Shine of Mineola; son and daughter–in–law, Craig and Angela Shine of Lindale; daughter and son-in-law, Natalie and Bob Laurent of Sachse; bonus daughter Casey Rodgers of Whitehouse; bonus daughter and daughter-in-law, Jordan and Aarika Newman of Whitehouse; six grandchildren; and his sister, Gail Leatherwood. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 10, from 6-8 p.m., at Lloyd James Funeral Home. A celebration of life will occur on Wednesday, August 11, at 2:00 p.m., also at Lloyd James Funeral Home.
