

The Family of Carole Frances Riley Davenport, 83 of Tyler, will gather for a time of visitation on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at Lloyd James Funeral Home from 12:00-2:00 p.m. There will be a family graveside service at Riley Cemetery at FM 557, Near Pittsburg, TX following the visitation.
Carole Frances Riley Davenport was born in Pittsburg, Tx to John Edward Riley and E’Nona Fannie Jernigan Riley on July 8,1942 and passed away peacefully on July 23, 2025. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and follower of Jesus Christ.
She spent many of her early years serving as a nurse, working in hospitals and clinics where her compassion and care were felt by countless patients and co-workers. Later in life, she worked at her best friend’s hair salon as a receptionist and bookkeeper, and eventually as the office manager at Collins Orthopedic for many years until her health no longer allowed her to.
When Carole was able, she was deeply involved in her church, especially in the youth department, where she served joyfully for many years.
She was a huge animal lover, especially her kitty cats. She enjoyed reading and studying God's word. and she loved spending time with her family.
To know her was to love her. And if you knew anything about her, you knew she loved her family and her Jesus fiercely! Her faith in her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was unwavering, and she shared that faith freely and boldly. She was truly the hands and feet of Jesus to everyone she met.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward and E’Nona Riley; brothers, Paul Riley and Allen Riley and daughter, Johna Carole Davenport. She is survived by her children, Michael Todd Davenport (Bonny), Joni Carole McFadden (Phillip); grandchildren, Madison Nicole Kyle (Keyshawn), Maci Brooke Janway (Jay), Makenzie Paige Mitchell (Kason), Riley Nicole McFadden, Olivia Christine McFadden, and great-granddaughters, Channing Brooke Kyle, Chambers Jaide Kyle and Lennox Laine Mitchell.
Though her absence leaves an irreplaceable void, the impact of her love and faith will continue to live on. She will be deeply missed and forever loved and cherished.
